How the NüvaBar Works
The NüvaBar doesn’t make exercise harder, it makes it smarter.
When you press the bar, you feel steady resistance to help build strength and balance. As the bar comes back, the resistance band assists, supports and helps makes exercise easier, easing pressure on muscles and joints to help you move with added confidence and comfort.
The internal bands have the following resistances when stretched to 3 times they're length.
- Light Grey Endcaps (lightest band) = 12 lbs.
- Dark Grey End-caps (medium band) = 16 lbs.
- Orange Endcaps (heavy band) = 22 lbs.
- Back Endcaps (Extreme band) = 26 lbs.

Getting Started is Easy
Assemble Your NüvaBar
1. The NüvaBar arrives with the slimmer bar inside the thicker bar.
The NüvaBar arrives with the slimmer bar nested inside the thicker bar. Simply remove both from the carton, slide the smaller bar out, and you’re ready to choose a web-based workout plus add the correct resistance band. See the video above.
2. Choose Your Workout Video
Select a 10 minute workout that fits your goals; Sit & Get Fit, Stand Strong, Abs & Core, Bootylicious, Picklers, Total Body Band or the Advanced Workout, etc. Each routine is low-impact, easy to follow, and designed to be done seated and standing so you never get down on the floor.
If you’re in a rush or for a shorter workout, try just 3 exercises with 1 minute per exercise. Start by working your upper-body, next target your abs with pressing down and leaning forward, then finish with a minute of gentle squats. Three simple exercises for a total body workout! Move at your own pace at all times.
Change Bands
3. Choose Your Resistance Band
Follow these easy instructions to install or change resistance bands.
Beginners should start with the grey endcaps to master the movements in Brenda’s workouts.
- Insert one endcap into the smaller tube. DON’t place the band into the groove.
Slide the two tubes together and place the other endcap into the anchor. That’s it. You’re ready to train.

4. Target Zones
After selecting your resistance band, begin your workout by pressing the upper bar into the Target Zones, white, dark gray, or orange, located near the bottom of the smaller bar. Each color represents a different level of resistance and assistance.
To start, we recommend the white zone. For greater resistance, progress to the other zones.
Assemble Your Total Body Band
The Total Body Band is approximately 78” long and attaches easily with two durable hook-and-loop straps, the band and an abrasion-resistant cover. It adds gentle, yet effective resistance to help strengthen the biceps, shoulders, back, and legs. Resistance can be adjusted by changing your stance; wider increases resistance, narrower reduces it.
Band length may also be adjusted by wrapping or unwrapping the band. For details, please refer to your Quick Start Guide.
Attach Wrist Weights
Easy-to-attach wrist weights add resistance to any exercise. They fit securely around the thumb and wrist watch an open-palm design to allow grip changes without removing the wrist weights.
Outer sleeve is comfortable, water-resistant neoprene. Just wipe with soap and water, then let dry flat.
